Carbon TPT® and Quartz TPT® are distinctive materials with distinct appearances. These layers are impregnated with resin and woven on a special machine that changes the direction of the weft by 45° between layers (Quartz TPT® layers are saturated in a red resin developed specifically for Richard Mille). These materials are then heated to 120°C at a pressure of 6 bars before being processed on a CNC machine in Richard Mille's case factory. The RM 35-02's case is water resistant to 50 meters thanks to two Nitril O-ring seals. The case is put together with 20 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel abrasion resistant washers.
